Everything you need to know about the Bittrex Wallet

Bittrex wallet

If you’ve read any of my other Bittrex related blog posts, you’ll know I’m a fan of the exchange. In this post, I wanted to cover a topic that isn’t very exciting, but that’s still very important: the Bittrex wallet.

For me personally, using the Bittrex online wallet is very simple and user-friendly. I think you’ll feel the same way too. Let’s take a deeper dive.

How to find your Bittrex wallet address?

Okay, so right now I’m assuming that you are already a Bitrrex user. If not, just go to bittrex.com and sign up to be one. To find your wallet address you’ll need to keep the following in mind:

  • In your wallet dashboard, you have many wallet addresses, one for each token to be exact, unless the same address is used for multiple tokens (ERC20).
  • Always make 100% sure you are sending the correct token to the correct token wallet. It’s stressful but very important. Only send LTC to LTC and not LTC to ETH.

Step #1 – Log into Bittrex

Step #2 – Click on “Wallets” in the top right corner

Now you’ll be taken to your token dashboard where you can see your balances and deposit or withdraw tokens. It will look something like, depending on the balances you have in your account.

Do you see the green and red button next to each cryptocurrency? Green means deposit while red means withdraw. To get your wallet address click on the green button.

How to create a wallet?

To my understanding, the moment you join or register for a Bittrex account, your wallet addresses are created. You’ll probably never have to create it on your own – at least I didn’t need to do that.

How to deposit crypto?

Depositing crypto into your account is fairly simple. If you’ve ever transferred cryptocurrency between any wallets, you’ll probably know how to do it. I go in detail on how to buy crypto on Bittrex here, which I think you should take a look at as well.

However, if you want to deposit USD, read more about the fees and other general Bittrex fees here. Remember that currently, only US residents can deposit USD.

Since we are talking about depositing crypto into your Bittrex wallet, it’s very simple.

This can be a software, mobile or any type of wallet. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to send to Bittrex. Get your Bittrex wallet address for the same cryptocurrency and hit the send button!

Remember only send Litecoin to a Litecoin address, or Bitcoin to Bitcoin – you get the point. Again, I cover this in detail in my “How to buy on Bittrex guide” I mentioned above.

Keep in mind that sometimes deposits don’t show in your account immediately. Often, they take a few minutes and can even show as “pending” as shown in the screenshot below.

How to withdraw crypto?

To withdraw crypto from your wallet is the exact same process as depositing, just in reverse. Find your crypto wallet address (the one you own), while logged into Bittrex, go to “Wallets”, choose the crypto you want to send and amount and verify the transaction.

Remember, the red button next to the cryptocurrency name is what you need to click on when you want to withdraw.

Conclusion

I know this guide could have had a few more screenshots, but I do cover many of the processes in my other Bittrex guides. Either way, you’ll realize once you’ve started using the Bittrex wallet it’s really very simple.
